Biography:
Darnell Smith is the founder and CEO of Business In The Black, a CMS web development and technology company founded in 1999 that specializes in customized database driven Content Management System websites and managing multimedia data over the Internet. He is also the inventor of many software and hardware systems with over 11 shared patents with companies such as Black & Decker US, Bell Labs, Tyco Electronics, Lucent Technologies and Synqore Electronics to name a few. He has over 22 years of technical entrepreneurship for both himself and Corporate America.

Darnell Smith is an expert, dynamic and motivational Black public speaker in the areas of technology, web development and computers. To further his technical exploits Darnell founded a new Viral Marketing technique called Caricature Animation Marketing combining his game writing and artistic skills to produce a unique electronic marketing system that adds stickiness to any website.

Mr. Smith has 3 separate degrees, one in Electrical Engineering from York Technical Institute, and one in Computer Science from System Source and still a third in Applied Arts and Sciences from UVA.

He started out writing cartridge video games for Activision in the early 80 s and was building computer system before they were available to the public. When the internet was introduced Darnell Smith was there as one of the early internet junkies before it was known as the World Wide Web using the original BBS form of communications with out images.
