Biography:
Urban Analyst, Author and Public Speaker
Edward Foxworth has spent most of his career
as a senior manager with various Community-Based
Agencies, which has provided him opportunities
to interact with and address a wide-range of
audiences.
Throughout
his career he has sought to encourage young
people to monitor the way they spend their time,
seek out educational opportunities, to set goals
and to walk by faith and not by sight.
Having
gained widespread respect and accomplishment
from hosting “Street Beat”, a weekly
community affairs show on CBS/CW50 Detroit Television
which highlighted the efforts and achievements
of non-profits, faith-based agencies and the
philanthropic community in Metropolitan Detroit,
Foxworth has taken his commitment for addressing
the cyclical social issues of Urban America
to a higher level. He is now the CEO of Foxworth
Marketing Group, which is a Marketing and Communications
Agency aimed at connecting Corporate America
with Ethnic Consumers.
He
is quoted as saying, that “Our neighborhoods
desperately need to see a significant increase
in individuals pursuing education, employment
and having a greater respect for themselves
and one another. “The result will mean
that crime, unemployment, poverty, homelessness,
drug abuse and so on will decrease, providing
for better communities, cities, states and a
more productive nation.”
Mr.
Foxworth holds a Master’s in Business
Administration from The University of Phoenix
and he sits on several Nonprofit Boards, including
The American Red Cross of Southeastern Michigan
and Spectrum Human Services. His book entitled
