Biography:
Gayle M. Gilmore firmly believes that every one of us as God’s creations should be blessed--body, soul, and pocketbook. She is a living testimony that no matter where one starts in life, God can change the ending. Given up for adoption at 6 days old and placed in the loving care of God-fearing parents, Gayle, a very sought out speaker and workshop facilitator, motivates her audiences, both young and old, to be who God intended them to be from the beginning.

Gayle holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Science in Education, Guidance and Counseling from Old Dominion University. She serves as a middle school guidance counselor for Chesapeake Public Schools. She is a licensed and ordained minister. She has been married to Rev. James Gilmore Sr., founder of Grace Entwined Ministries, for 25 years. They are the proud parents of two grown children, Candy and James Jr.

Gayle is an author of three books and playwright. It Can’t Be Boring: A Christian Youth Program for Difficult Times focuses on programs that can help youth and those that work with youth to make their community and church programs more relative and exciting. Gayle was humbled to be in the company of such authors as Bishop T.D. Jakes, Serita Jakes, Joyce Meyer and Hezekiah Walker at the Christian Booksellers Association (CBA) Convention in Orlando, Florida in 2003 when How Would Jesus Invest? Breaking the Poor Man’s Mentality was released which explores how God wants to bless us in all areas of our lives including finances. Gayle wrote the triumphant story about her friend who was a victim of domestic violence and has been confined to a wheelchair for over 30 years in the book Only By the Grace of God: The Story of Sharon Dixon. Her play, “The Last Laugh”, a depiction of how the devil believes he has defeated Jesus Christ during the three days after the crucifixion, has been enjoyed by many audiences at various venues, including the Chrysler Museum Theater in Norfolk, VA.

Honors include Outstanding Young Woman of America, Teacher of the Year, and the Inspiration Star Award for Student Advocacy for Norfolk Public Schools. Gayle has appeared in numerous newspaper features and on several local TV and radio shows. She acknowledges that all her guidance and energy comes from the Lord.
