Biography:

Mrs. Norma Ferguson-Hill is a visionary wants to inspire others to have a vision. She is a native of Nassau, Bahamas, and has lived in the United States for thirty years, including New York City and New Jersey. She has a strong heritage and religious upbringing from both countries. Her value for education has led her to many places across the eastern and western Caribbean and the United States where she has been invited to conduct many summer Bible school classes, children’s crusades/revivals, seminars, and conferences that display her talent and ability to get her message across to an audience. She believes that education frees people and brings them together across racial barriers. Her unique perspective on leadership and teaching is evident in her work, especially with children and youth.

Mrs. Hill is a contributor to the vast knowledge available concerning various topics. She is involved in her community and organizations where she has given back and shares with others through the community, church, schools, cultural events, book distributions, etc. She has written several religious/spiritual books that demonstrate how an effective vision can lead to an enlightening and inspirational discovery of self-hood. Mrs. Hill has been recognized for her accomplishments and has received many local, national, and international awards for her accomplishments. Her media appearances include local newspaper publishers in her community and in Nassau, Bahamas. In her early years of ministry, WRCB TV Channel 3 came to the Hill’s home and featured a special segment about teaching the Bible in the home. Also, Fox news of Chattanooga has broadcasted a document on Mrs. Hill when she sponsored a free cultural exhibit and lecture about the Bahamas during Black History Month. Mrs. Hill lives the “Fruits of the Spirit” and is blessed with special characteristics, creativity, love, and kindness for all people. She respects others’ viewpoints and opinions, and believes that all mankind are created equal.

Mrs. Hill’s goals and motives are to use her writing as a vehicle to share the Good News to the Kingdom of God. She is also committing herself to write a book each year. Her most recent work demonstrating her creativity and knowledge is compiled in her book titled “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Chronicle and Creative Poems.” An excerpt of this 2007 release can be found on www.rosedogbookstore.com or www.amazon.com. Her 2008 book, to be released in late Fall, is a Children’s Educational Compilation (certificates of achievements). This project is the academic assemblage of her children’s achievements from pre-school through high school. This project is available now in PowerPoint, and will be accompanied with hands-on material, videos, etc. for training and teaching. It will attract organizations that cater to the family, focusing on academic achievement.

Currently, Mrs. Hill’s career is a pre-school Bible and music teacher and a Resident Advisor/Counselor at an independence senior living facility in Cleveland. Mrs. Hill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education from Lee University, and a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Ministry from the Church of God Theological Seminary both in Cleveland, Tennessee. She is a member of The Church of God; Bradley Initiative for Church and Community or B.I.C.C.; the N.A.A.C.P.; and Metropolitan Who’s Who. Mrs. Hill lives in Cleveland with her husband Eric, and they have two children in college, Victor and Jamie.
