Biography:
In October of 2005 a business was born.
On the campus of Howard University Quinn Conyers
a graduate student founded Speak2Society LLC
a motivational speaking company specializing
in entrepreneurship, leadership and motivation
for youth and young adults. At the tender age
of 24, Quinn’s message of empowerment
and helping students turn their passion into
a profit quickly took off landing her speaking
engagements across the United States.
As
the 2006 Youth Leader of the Year of the New
Light Leadership Coalition, Ms. Conyers is very
involved in the community and an advocate for
youth entrepreneurship and leadership. By finding
her own motivational speaking company she has
received both national and local media attention
as a result of her accomplishments. She has
been named an Emerging Minority Business Leader
by the Minority Business Development Agency
and was the 2006 Capitol Speakers Club of Washington
DC Scholarship Winner.
She
has been featured in the Baltimore Times Minority
Business Magazine, Young Money Magazine, The
District Chronicles Newspaper and the Washington
Informer. Last month she was featured on Fox
5 News in Washington DC and will be hosting
a youth entrepreneurship talk show in Baltimore
Maryland in conjunction with Morgan State University.
As an in demand speaker Quinn Conyers has spoken
at conferences, colleges and youth organizations.
The Carroll Hardy Black Leadership Conference,
Frostburg State University, the Baltimore chapter
of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship,
Largo High School and the Crispus Attucks Community
Center are just a few of the many places Quinn
has uplifted and empowered audiences. In addition
she was the 2007 Speak Up Speak Off competition
winner in Los Angeles California.
Originally
from Lancaster Pennsylvania, Quinn Conyers holds
a B.A in Communication Studies with a minor
in Spanish. She is currently finishing up her
M.A from Howard University in Mass Communication
Media Studies with a specialization in Entrepreneurship.
Quinn
is passionate about engaging, enlightening,
and empowering students and young adults to
consider entrepreneurship as a career choice
and capitalizing on their potential. Her future
goals include, creating a database of young
speakers, leaders, and entrepreneurs on a diversity
of topics. She is adamant about and leading
a powerful youth movement and using the youth
to relate and connect to other youth. She also
wishes to host a national talk show addressing
social, political and entrepreneurial issues
from a youth perspective.
